I love his cheese face. He only does it once when he sees the camera so it's hard to get a focused shot. He sure is a silly boy. He loves to wear shoes! ( those are not mine by the way)
We have had some bedtime struggles lately. Max, our little monkey finally figured out how to escape the confinements of his crib. It was a long time coming, he's just been a little too short to get his leg over the bar until now. (I'm sure Gavin has helped Max figure it out, since he likes to climb in there with him sometimes.)
So we immediately bought a bed rail and converted his bed into a toddler bed. It was sad, for many reasons. Realizing he isn't our baby anymore, realizing he can get in and out of bed(safely) and run into our room and around the house as he pleases *at three in the morning. Realizing just how complicated nap time has become...I want to pull my hair out a lot. Bedtime isn't much different. Gavin was pretty easy, then again he was pretty easy with everything but potty training. But most of all, realizing just how cute he is when he climbs out of bed and I hear him running into our room, patting his hands on the mattress and saying"mommy, mommy mommy" or "hi guys" and climbing into bed with us, or Gavin. He truly is a sweetheart and hates to be alone. But he still needs his sleep, and Mommy does too. It's been an adventure.
A successful night. That's why I even thought to take a picture. He's adjusting, and it's pretty cute.

Another trip to the zoo. The weather was sunny and 45 degrees so we met up with Hunter and Jessi today. It was really nice. Except for the fact that the train and carousel are closed for the season. The boys had a great time playing an the playground and roaming the zoo.
Gav and Hunter
I sure love him, he has the most genuine smile!
I love how excited kids get for the most simple things, it sure makes you appreciate all the little blessings in life. * note to self, always bring dry pants when we go to the zoo. He's never had an accident but he has a habit of sitting in water, splashing in a mud puddle or something to that extent. I guess it doesn't bother him.
He did this as soon as he saw the camera again. Such a cutie!

Get on a plane already!
the zoo looked empty. that must have been nice for the boys. :)
oh, the dreaded big boy bed. it took max exactly one month to start falling asleep by himself again in the big bed. and, of course, now the max is doing great cole freaks when we leave the room. i don't think it ever ends :) i hope your max keeps doing great!
and we want to go to the zoo again! i'll watch the weather for the next couple of weeks, and maybe i'll pack an extra pair of pants for gav in case you forget again :)
